The Startup Poland Foundation issued their latest report on the current situation in the Polish investment sector.
The year 2020 was exceptional in almost every way, and the Polish economy, too, was affected by the pandemic. Some of its effects, however, may be surprising. As we read in the "VC Golden Book 2021", 2020 was a record-breakng year for example in terms of the number of transactions on the Polish VC market.
- Investment-related costs have decreased, as online meetings, conversations, including negotiations, have become a new normal.
- The share of co-investments with international funds increased significantly.
- Public entities still play an important role in the development of the VC market in Poland.
